An adult laying quails require about 20 to 25 grams of food daily. Female quails start laying eggs very fast. Usually they start laying within their 6 to 7 weeks of age. Each quail continuously lay an eggs daily for more than one year. After one year of age, they don't lay much eggs for making high profits. During their first year of laying period, they lay upto 300 eggs. But from their second year of age, egg production get reduced. They lay about 150 to 175 eggs during their second year of laying period. Quail eggs contain less fat than any other meat. It contains 2.47 percent less fat than chicken eggs. And the eggs are absolutely very healthy and suitable for human consumption. Doctors suggest their patients to consume quail meat and eggs. Because quail meat and eggs help to prevent blood pressure, pant, diabetic etc. It's also very easy to digest the quail meat eggs. Each quail lays an colorful and beautiful egg daily. Although they lay eggs highly, but they usually don't incubate their eggs. So you have to use your chickens or incubator for hatching the eggs.
